    Sick Again
I never used to get sick ... NEVER!

Today, I have a sore throat, a stuffy nose, a headache. It's not too bad. The runny nose is a little annoying. I'm drinking tea and hoping that will help. There is only one downside to this whole cold thing. I used to love getting colds because I'd get to take Robitussin DM. Since my body is so sensitive, I could take the regular dosage and get all high. But not with this cold! I am still breastfeeding which means that I cannot take any type of cold medicine. Nothing, nada. There is no way to relieve any of my symptoms. So, you say that I can just stay in bed, drink tea and rest .. HA! WRONG! I have a 4 month old at home. There is no resting for me. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who allows me to hire someone to help me a couple of hours during the day. The Nanny is a big help. Then, again, I don't have any family in this state and very few friends. So, it's not as if there is anyone to help me with my child or help me when I'm sick. The only people to help me are my husband (who works 12+ hours a day)... and those we pay.
Wow, I like Live Journal. I feel so much better getting all this off my chest. It's like I have a best friend again to listen to all of my useless ramblings. YAY!

ON a positive note, having a cold takes away my appetite which means that I'm that much closer to my pre-pregnancy sexy body.

    OUCH!
I hurt my toe ... AGAIN!
It seems every couple of months, I trip on something and hurt one of my toes.
This time it is my right baby toe.
Now, you make think that you don't really need your baby toe, but you DO!
The Baby Toe is the most important of all your toes, and the cutest.
Now my cutest toe is all big and fat and red, just like the rest of me.
I used to be cute, really.

    I'm fat
It's taken awhile but I've found something to complain about.
I know, all women think that they are fat ... but I'm REALLY fat! Everytime I start to exercise, I get rundown and then the healing from the pregnancy stops and the hurting begins. So, I have given up on exercising for another couple of months until I'm completely healed. I did lose about 10 lbs. but then it mysteriously came back. I know that diet and exercise is how to lose weight, but that just isn't possible.
To explain to you how fat I am ... I weigh a whopping 180 lbs.
How come with some people the weight just "falls off" after pregnancy. With others, (like me) the weight doesn't come off.
It's so weird, because I've never been fat, never ever ever!
    Hopefully

    complain, complain, complain
I hate to let all of my faithful readers down, but I don't have anything to complain about.
3 months ago, yesterday, I squeezed a bouncing 8 lb. 13 oz. boy out of my woowoo.
It's still hard for me to fathom that I'm a Mom.
I've never thought of myself as a "mom" type. I'm way to fun!
Today, there is nothing to complain about. My husband randomly gave me roses last night. I have enough sleep, even took a nap this morning. The house is clean. I feel pretty good physically.

    complaining
I am going to use this as my official complaining outlet.
I don't want to complain to my husband
I don't want to complain to my family
So I will complain to you, my livejournal, since no one really reads this.
    YAY!

Today, I slept the whole time the Nanny was here so I didn't accomplish anything.
    AND
    I have a headache.

Other than that, my life is wonderful.

WOW! I really don't have as much to complain about as I thought. YAY!

    Antibiotics RULE!
    I am feeling much better.
Thanks to everyone for your sympathy and get well wishes.

For a brief moment, I was considering giving up breast feeding.
However, after further consideration, I've decided to continue.
I will breastfeed until my boobs fall off or Noah gets teeth, whichever comes first.

    Breast Feeding
Breast Feeding rules because I get to flash in public and there isn't anything anyone can say or do about it!

Breast Feeding sucks because I have a clogged duct (which really hurts). They say we get it from over exertion. Remedies include bed rest, drink lots of water and to put a warm compress on the clogged area to relive pain and possibly loosen the milk plug. Don't have a warm compress? Just fill a paper diaper with hot water and apply it to the infected area. So, here I am walking around with a wet diaper in my bra and LOVING IT!

    Night is Day
With a newborn in the house, 4 AM is the same as 4 PM.

I take a nap at Noon, which is really my Midnight.

Don't you wish you could take a nap at Noon everyday?

    I have a cold
    I have a cold.
    Started with a sore throat
Now I'm at the runny nose stage.
Yesterday, I opened up a box of Kleenex. The box is now empty.
Tomorrow, I'll get the ugly cough.

I haven't been sick in years.
With a new child in the house, I might as well get used to the sniffles.
Kids are chock full of germs (but oh so adorable).

I think I got our son sick.
    His first cold.
    Awe, how cute!

    All Good Things Take Time!
The kid's ETA is January 12th.
If the kid doesn't arrive by January 16th, the Dr. is gonna force him to come out.
So, the kid will for sure be here in less than 2 weeks.

We were hoping to have a New Years Baby. Why? Because the first kid born on the New Year gets lots of Free Schwag, like a BRAND NEW CAR. I mean, what difference does a week or two make when there is a FREE CAR involved. How do I know about the free car? Because on December 31st, I had some "labor signs" and called the Doctor. He said "If you have the first baby of the year, you lots of Free Stuff and we'll split it 50/50. I said, "where can we get free stuff?" and the Doctor said "If you have the first kid of the year, we'll find all the contest and split all the free stuff."

We have the best doctor in the whole world!

I am a human voodoo doll
Today I took the 3 hour gestational diabetes test.

This means I had to fast since last night

Then they drew blood to get a baseline to compare against

I drank some really sweet orangy drink

and an hour later they drew more blood

    and more blood

    and more blood

now I know what a pin cushion feels like.

The lady drawing the blood did a really good job. My veins are hard to find, she had to use the needles that they use for babies. She didn't leave any bruises and it didn't hurt too much. First time ever in my whole life that I've had blood drawn, tapped the vein on the first try and walked away without a bruise.

    another one ...
    I bought another house.

    Which is good and bad.

Good because I got a great deal on it and there is no way I can lose money.

Bad because now I have another house to work on and worry about. Not to mention that if I fix it up, it will go on the market at the same time our child is born.

Work is getting really tough for me. I find that I have to rest more and more. But that is kinda OK because it forces me to spend more time writing my new series of books about Real Estate Investing.

    Leg Cramps
It seems that a "condition" of pregnancy is Leg Cramps.

The Internet suggests Milk (for calcuim) and bananas (for potassium)

    Any other suggestions?

So, when am I going to start GLOWING? I thought when I got knocked up, I'd GLOW! Instead, I can't sleep, am uncomfortable all the time, in constant mild discomfort, have leg cramps, and am either throwing up or starving. WHERE IS THE GLOW, DAMNIT!

Thank Your Mother for her 9 months of HELL!
My mid section is getting huge.

I reallly need to start working out more, especially working on my abs.
HAHAHAH, That joke cracks me up every time!

Along with the joke ... I thought swallowing watermelon seeds was a myth!

Pregnancy is the strangest thing I've ever felt!

First of all, the whole expansion of the mid-section is actually painful. Not super pain like a broken bone. More of a constant pain like a really bad migraine headache, in your stomach. This is called "ligament stretching".

The first 3 months, you can't eat a thing. (In my case it was closer to 5)
The rest of the pregnancy, you can't get enough to eat. Might as well just unhinge your jaw and tip over the refrigerator into your mouth.

Then, at about 18 weeks, you feel the baby move. It feels like someone tickling you from the inside. This leads me to believe that our future child will be a stand up comic, always trying to make everyone laugh, just like it's daddy. Sometimes it feels like a cute little eel or a bucket of silkworms slithering around in your lower abdomen. The baby is most active when around computers, during the exciting parts of reality television or after I've eaten. Once again, enjoying the things it's father enjoys.

I thought I'd look all gross and fat and saggy. But when I look in the mirror, I still think I look hot. Pregnant and still a hottie! YAY!

Yesterday I smelled like chocolate covered fruit. I put cocoa butter on any part of my body that may possibly produce a stretch mark. Thank Goodness I have not yet spotted a stretch mark, but I'm ready in case they show up! Then, I put yummy strawberry scented body lotion on my legs. The result was me smelling like Chocolate covered Strawberries. Yummmmmmmm :)

So, another 9 days and we get to find out the sex. Are you as excited as we are ?!?!?!!?!?
